Bethany provides custom private trainings online and in-person on an hourly or daily basis. Keep reading for info on the type of trainings you can request, as well as pricing and how to schedule.
PLANNING A TRAINING
We can cover a variety of topics in private trainings. It is important to have an idea of where you want to spend your time and energy during our session. Some things to think about:
✦ Do you want to skip theory and get right into hands-on?
✦ Do you only want to focus on theory topics?
✦ Do you want a mix of theory and hands-on?
Most of the time, people want a mix of both but it is up to you, your learning style or even your budget what makes the most sense for your session. For some topics, theory can be completed beforehand on your own time with video content.
Theory
During this time we will cover presentations and manuals, have discussions or complete activities.
We can cover topics related to holistic esthetics and massage including: anatomy and physiology, energy work, skin analysis, sound healing, treatment planning, integration of techniques we cover in hands-on and more
Hands-On
During this time I will be demonstrating and you will be practicing techniques on each other or models.
We can cover any technique of your choice: intraoral massage, myofascial sculpting for the face, lymphatic drainage, gua sha, cupping, herbal poultices, sound healing, acupressure
All trainings are customized to your individual needs.
After doing an intake interview, we will come up with a personalized training plan that outlines the amount of time, location and information we will cover.
You can also request certifications that are regularly taught in-person and online, such as Sculpting the Face, Intraoral Massage, Embodied Touch, Lymphatic Flow and Glow, Somatic Sound Sequences.and Nervous System Reset.
CHOOSING A LOCATION
The main concern when choosing a location is whether we will have space for massage tables. For individual trainings, all we need for hands-on is one massage table. For groups we need at least one table per pair if working on each other or one table per person if working on models.
While 1-1 trainings can be held at Bethany's location (Touch of Yin), I do not currently have guaranteed space for more than 1 massage table.
In-Person Trainings
There are no travel fees for trainings in Austin, TX.
Small groups of 2 or more may accrue rental fees if we have to secure location to accommodate multiple tables.
Location or travel fees will be discussed in your consultation and outlined in your training agreement.
Online Trainings
All online trainings take place on Zoom.
Depending on the training we are performing, you will gain access to relevant online courses.
You will always receive recordings of our Zoom meetings to save and watch back as needed.
Pricing varies based on location, travel, materials and time spent.
Individuals start at $250/hour or $1500/day
Groups start at $350/hour or $2100/day
For trainings requiring travel or rental fees, you will receive a full quote based on potential costs. A deposit of 1/3 of your total balance will be required to secure your training.
EXAMPLE TRAINING PACKAGES
The following are ideas for trainings but it is not a comprehensive list or finalized price point. We will discuss topics during the booking process and customize your package based on time, number of people and whether you would like a certification.
Note that certifications can only be completed via half day, full day or multiple day trainings, depending on the type of certification(s) you would like to receive.
The Yin Portal does not currently offer CEUs for esthetics or massage therapy through any governing bodies. Depending on your state, you might still be able to submit certifications for massage therapy but it is not guaranteed that it would be approved. Please contact your state board for more information and let Bethany know during your intake if you need anything from us to support you.
